Air Export Operator

AION Cargo Solutions Ltd began operations in 2004 as a small cargo shipping dealer and has since grown into a comprehensive, large-scale international logistics company through over 17 years of dedicated development. We specialise in sea and air freight forwarding, customs clearance, domestic transportation, and warehousing services.

We are seeking a motivated Export Operator to join our fast-paced and dynamic Export team based at Auckland Airport. This is a key role supporting the day-to-day operations of the Export Department and offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career while gaining exposure to both Air and Ocean freight.

About the Role

As an Export Operator, you will be responsible for managing export shipments from origin to overseas destinations, ensuring all documentation and processes comply with legal and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the movement of export cargo from local origin to overseas destination
• Prepare and complete all export-related documentation in compliance with regulations
• Liaise with customers, overseas agents, carriers, and customs authorities
• Provide professional customer service and shipment solutions
• Arrange freight space bookings and monitor shipments through to completion
• Record export shipments, compile carrier and route details, and calculate international freight charges
• Track shipment payments and quotas
• Report regularly to the Export Manager, providing feedback on workflow, workload, and customer or supplier issues
• Negotiate with clients and assist in resolving customs or operational issues
• Follow company Health & Safety policies and all relevant procedures
• About You
• Experience in logistics or freight forwarding (preferred but not essential)
• Experience with logistics software such as CargoWise is an advantage (training provided)
• Strong English and Mandarin written and verbal communication skills
• Customer-focused with good negotiation and problem-solving abilities
• Familiar with export regulations and industry procedures (preferred)
• Confident working with figures, including weight, volume, and currency conversions
• Positive, proactive attitude with good commercial awareness
• Shipping or logistics-related qualification is an advantage
