As an Animal Attendant at our charity organisation in Kemps Creek, you will play a vital role in the care and welfare of animals in need. This permanent, full-time position is essential for ensuring that our animals receive the attention, love, and support they require while awaiting their forever homes. Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising them.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal enclosures and surrounding areas.
• Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team.
• Assist in the socialisation and training of animals to prepare them for adoption.
• Engage with potential adopters, providing information and support to help them find the right pet.
• Participate in fundraising and community outreach events to promote the organisation's mission.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe and positive environment for both animals and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a shelter or rescue environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the public.
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to the organisation's mission.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the role, including lifting and moving animals.
• Basic knowledge of animal behaviour and care practices.
