About the role
In this role you will be responsible for preparing architectural plans and documentation, completing building consent and resource consent applications, and liaising with clients throughout the design process. You will have the opportunity to assist with the design, pricing and construction phases of projects, working closely with our wider team to deliver successful outcomes for our clients.
We are seeking an Architectural Designer with proven experience in the NZ residential building context, who can confidently prepare plans and prepare and submit consent applications.
While the role is Invercargill based, the design work spans Southland, Otago, and further afield throughout NZ as required.
Key responsibilities
Preparing architectural plans and documentation
Completing building consent and resource consent applications
Liaising with clients throughout the design process
Assisting with the design, pricing and construction phases of projects
Working closely with the wider team to deliver successful outcomes for clients
About you
A minimum of 3 years' experience in residential architectural design in New Zealand
A relevant New Zealand qualification in architectural design, or an equivalent overseas qualification
Good knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and building consent processes
Experience preparing building consent and resource consent applications
Can produce work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication and client liaison skills
A positive, can-do attitude
Excellent organisational and time management skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Proficiency in Revit or similar architectural design software
A current, full New Zealand Driver Licence
