Assistant Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our Finance team as an Assistant Accountant. You will play a key role in supporting our tax compliance, banking operations and financial reporting, working closely with HMRC requirements, daily cashflow management and Head Office coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment and has strong financial, analytical and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

HMRC

Act as tax controller: calculate and manage tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with other taxation requirements such as corporation tax and VAT

Prepare VAT returns for each quarterly period (three-monthly periods ending on the calendar quarters) and submit to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) by the last day of the following month

* Prepare and submit monthly ONAS reports to HMRC using monthly revenue figures from SAP

Bank

Manage daily financial arrangements, including LC (Letter of Credit) operations

Prepare loan reports to arrange loans across all banking relationships

* Prepare required documents and materials for banks

Head Office

Review and transmit legal documents

Prepare and transmit bank documents as requested by Head Office

Act as the main contact to liaise between the system maintenance team and users, and ensure accurate translation between Chinese and English

Prior work experience in Netherlands are preferred.
