As an Assistant Branch Manager in our Personal Banking Branch Network, you'll play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations and setting the tone for outstanding customer experiences.

You'll coach and guide a team of bankers, build capability, and step up to lead the branch in the Branch Manager's absence. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment and are passionate about helping others grow, this could be your next opportunity.

Lead and inspire a high-performing customer service team

Role Location: ANZ Tokoroa Branch

Role Type: Permanent, Part Time

Role Hours: 22.5 hours - Tuesday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm

You'll work alongside the Branch Manager to drive results, lead a strong team, and ensure customers walk away with great experiences every time. From mentoring new talent to refining service delivery, no two days will feel the same - and that's the exciting part.

You will also

• Support the running of daily branch operations and customer service delivery
• Coach and develop staff to meet customer needs with care and confidence
• Monitor branch performance and look for ways to improve customer and employee outcomes
• Ensure policy and risk procedures are followed across the board
• Step into leadership when the Branch Manager is away, with full responsibility

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Experience leading or coaching a team, ideally in a customer service or retail banking setting

The ability to contribute to the creation and maintenance of inclusive workplace culture

Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships

An understanding of compliance and operational procedures

A commitment to doing what's right for customers, every time

Willingness to learn, adapt, and help others do the same
