Kate Cowhig International Recruitment is currently recruiting an Assistant Director of Nursing in elderly care homes in Co. Clare.

Please note that there is no sponsorship available for this position. Candidates must have the right to work in Ireland.

The post of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is a senior clinical position which reports to the Director of Nursing. This role will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, managing the day-to-day clinical practices in the home, appropriate staff rostering, delegation and supervision, performance and development, clinical governance and assessment of risks.

The ADON will work collaboratively with the DON and Healthcare Manager as part of the senior management team in the Nursing Home, providing clear communication and direction and deputising for the DON as required. The position reports to the Director of Nursing / Person in Charge.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

* Active NMBI registration as a RGN (Pin number).At least 3 years' experience in an Older Person Care setting within the previous 6 years.Previous management or supervisory experience is highly desirable.Post-registration qualification in Management or commitment to undertaking same is essential.Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills.Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
