Assitant Accountant Construction

Overview

As an Assistant Accountant in construction, you will support accurate financial accounting and day-to-day financial management. You’ll help maintain reliable records, process transactions and provide colleagues with clear, timely financial information.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable invoices, check supporting details and record transactions accurately.

Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies and help maintain up-to-date financial records.

Use accounting software to enter and review information, prepare routine reports and support financial management tasks.

Qualifications

Required: You’ll bring practical numerical skills, attention to detail and confidence handling financial records, invoices and reconciliations. Clear communication and organised working habits will help you manage routine tasks and resolve discrepancies carefully. Preferred: Experience in financial accounting, accounts payable or financial services is useful, as is familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or PeopleSoft. An interest in mentoring or supporting colleagues is also welcome.

Pay: £25,420.00-£41,720.00 per year
