**Professional 1 - Remuneration Package Range $86,482 - $110,012** (including salary $73,100 - $93,041) **Strategic Coordination – Research Farms, Victoria River Research Station** **Kidman Springs** **One full time ongoing vacancy is available** **Apply your knowledge of beef cattle handling, research techniques and rangeland management to the Victoria River Research Station.** The department underpins the Territory’s reputation as a supplier of safe and quality agricultural produce through scientific research, strong biosecurity practices and compliance with animal welfare legislation. The Victoria River Research Station  is located in the heart of the Victoria River district and is considered to be one of the Territory’s major cattle producing regions. As the **Beef Cattle Research Officer** you will assist the Farm Manger to conduct Livestock Industry research trials, undertake station maintenance and development work, contributing to the operation of the Research Station and assist with the preparation and implementation of extension programs to promote the sustainable development of the NT Pastoral Industry. This involves, but is not limited to, collecting, recording and collating research data related to livestock production and maintaining station records. Experience related to beef cattle research in extensive pastoral regions will be well received.
