BI Developer and Platform Manager

The successful candidate will have: Educated to masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area Highly developed specialist knowledge and significant experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar role Highly developed specialist knowledge and significant experience in SQL and at least one statistical programming language (e.g., Python, R) Experience working with cloud data platforms (eg Snowflake) Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments Able to provide and receive highly complex, sensitive or contentious information, negotiate with senior stakeholders on difficult and controversial issues, and present complex and sensitive information Highly developed knowledge of data modelling techniques (e.g., star schema, normalization) Expert knowledge of the wide range of data in the following health and/or care and/or wider determinants of health Working knowledge of GDPRR and information governance frameworks in the NHS including the application of small suppression and sharing of data with others Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of equality of opportunity and diversity. Being aware of how individual actions contribute to, and make a difference to, the equality agenda

Other desirable skills for this role would be: Experience working with cloud data storage (eg Azure) Insight into the potential of data science, machine learning and the use of tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude AI in the delivery of analytics.
