Bike Rental and Retail Assistant

Are you passionate about bikes, the outdoors and creating awesome experiences for customers? We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Bike Rental & Retail Assistant to join our team in Wanaka. This is a part-time position, working 2 days per week, with the potential for additional hours for the right candidate!

You’ll be one of the friendly faces helping customers get set up for their day on the trails, while also lending a hand in our retail store. If you love being outdoors, enjoy working with people and don’t mind getting your hands dirty with bikes, this could be the perfect role for you.

Your role will involve

• Greeting customers and helping them get set up with their bike rental
• Providing advice on bike options, pricing and local riding
• Ensuring bikes are clean, well-maintained and ready to go
• Assisting with basic bike preparation and maintenance
• Providing friendly, helpful customer service and answering any questions
• Assisting customers with retail purchases and product recommendations
• Keeping the rental and retail areas clean, tidy and organised

What we’re looking for in you

• A passion for bikes, the outdoors and adventure
• Friendly, enthusiastic and confident communication skills
• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently

Retail or customer service experience is a bonus

Bike industry experience or mechanical knowledge is a bonus, but not essential

Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays
