Café Chef – Full Time Position

We are on the lookout for a creative and passionate Café Chef to join our team!

This is a full-time position in a busy café where you’ll prepare fresh, high-quality meals and bring new ideas to the menu. If you enjoy creating exciting dishes and working in a positive daytime environment, this role is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present high-quality café-style food

Create and introduce new, innovative dishes and seasonal menu ideas

Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen standards

Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Work collaboratively with the team

Key Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a chef (café experience preferred) or commercial Chef qualifications

Passion for food and creativity in menu development

Strong organizational and time management skills

Positive attitude and team player

Weekend availability is essential

Must have valid New Zealand work rights

In charge of all culinary operations.

Coordinating and assisting culinary staff as needed.

Training employees to prepare and cook the entire menu.

Performing an inventory of ingredients and equipment and placing orders to

replenish supplies.

Follow kitchen safety and sanitation standards.

Developing new recipes to maintain a menu's freshness.

Receiving feedback and making necessary adjustments
