Care Assistant (Days)

Full or Part Time: Full Time

Working Pattern: Working on a Rota basis

Hourly Rate: From £13.30 (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Qualification: Hold or willing to work towards NVQ 2 and 3

Duties

Enabling residents to live their life to the full.

Provide support and companionship in a stimulating and homely environment.

You will supporting our residents with day to day living (bathing, dressing and personal care) and promoting their life choices and wellbeing.

• Genuine interest in working with the elderly

• Excellent communication skills

Knowledge

• Understanding what it means to ‘care’

• Demonstrate compassion and empathy

• Hold NVQ/RQF or other recognized qualification in Health and Social Care

• Willingness to keep learning

Abilities / Skills

• Caring and committed to working to high standards

• Ability to build and maintain positive professional working relationships

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Be able to work flexibly

• Work effectively as part of a team

Experience

• Demonstrate dignity, privacy, equality, diversity and respecting resident’s rights.

• Working within a Care setting or care of a relative/friend

• Demonstrating person centered care

• Knowledge of Dementia/End of Life care
