• We are seeking 1x Chef to join our small busy team.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt is welcomed.
• Having someone who is best fit for the team is important as we are a small team.
• You will be required to work Monday to Saturday day with a 7am start.
• You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
• This is a permanent full-time position with pay ranging between $25.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on the level of experience.
• You will have the equivalent of an NZQF Diploma or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.

Tasks Include but is not limited to

• planning menus, estimate food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
• monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• discussing food preparation issues with Manager, kitchen and other staff
• demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• preparing and cooking food
• explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
• select and train staff
• freeze and preserve foods
• prepare customer orders and service customers
• may be required to provide backup to other employees
• You are required to organise your own transportation to and from work.
