About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chef / Cook to join Gosford Private and Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospitals in both part-time and casual positions.

This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your culinary expertise within the healthcare sector, where your skills will directly contribute to providing nutritious, well-prepared meals to our residents and clients. As a Chef / Cook, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and safety whilst supporting our commitment to quality care and nutrition.

Key responsibilities

2-3 years’ experience as a Chef/Cook

Bulk cook chill experience is advantageous

Modified food diet experience to IDDSI standards

This is a Category B (Low Risk role)

Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination and immunisation history is mandatory and must be provided prior to commencement of employment.

Desirable Criteria

Recognised culinary qualification or substantial experience working as a Chef / Cook in a professional kitchen environment

Proven experience preparing meals in a healthcare, aged care or institutional setting

Current knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards relevant to healthcare environments

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently within time constraints

Excellent communication skills to work effectively with care staff, residents and other team members and ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
