Hydrema Operator
Tradestaff is looking for experienced Hydrema Operators to join a major construction project near Taupō, with an immediate start available.
If you're a skilled heavy machinery operator with experience operating articulated dump trucks, this is a great opportunity to put your skills to work on a large-scale construction development.
Applicants must currently reside in Taupō.
Location: Southeast, Taupō
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $35.60 per hour, paid weekly
About the Role
You'll be operating Hydrema articulated dump trucks on a major construction project, transporting materials and supporting earthworks, site preparation and general groundworks.
Key Responsibilities
Operate Hydrema articulated dump trucks safely and efficiently.
Transport and tip soil, gravel, aggregate and other construction materials.
Support earthworks, site preparation and groundworks.
Navigate uneven terrain and designated haul routes safely.
Work alongside excavator and other machinery operators.
Complete daily pre-start checks and report machinery faults.
Follow site health and safety procedures, including safe loading and tipping practices.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience operating Hydrema or similar articulated dump trucks.
Current Class 2 or Class 4 NZ driver's licence with WTR endorsements.
Experience working on large-scale construction or earthworks projects.
Confidence operating heavy machinery on uneven terrain.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Must currently reside in Taupō.

Competitive hourly rate of $35.60.
Additional project completion bonus available, subject to eligibility criteria.
Ongoing project work, currently expected through to May, with potential for extension.
