Civil Structures Foreperson

We're looking for a Civil Structures Foreperson to join our Christchurch team. In this role, you'll lead from the front, guiding crews to deliver civil structures work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. It's a hands-on role with real responsibility across site coordination, people, plant, subcontractors, and programme delivery. Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities

Lead and coordinate day-to-day site operations for civil structures works, ensuring jobs are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

Plan and organise labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to support efficient project delivery.

Drive productivity across the crew while maintaining high workmanship and quality outcomes.

Make sure all health and safety policies, procedures, and site expectations are understood and followed.

Build a safe, switched-on site culture by guiding team members on construction safety requirements and emergency procedures.

At least 5 years' experience in civil construction or a similar environment.

Proven experience leading crews on site.

A full clean Class 1 licence and WTR endorsements.

Strong practical experience in retaining structures, formwork, temporary works, reinforced concrete, timber, and broader civil construction activities.

The confidence to lead from the front, set clear expectations, and keep crews aligned on what good looks like.

Sound knowledge of construction safety regulations, with a proactive approach to health and safety.

Clear communication and strong planning skills.

The ability to stay calm, organised, and solutions-focused under pressure.
