Pacificomm is looking for an experienced Class 5 Driver to join our Auckland team.
You'll primarily be making deliveries across Metro Auckland, driving Class 2 to Class 5 vehicles depending on the day's requirements. This isn't a role where you'll just sit behind the wheel. You'll be involved in loading and unloading your freight, securing loads and helping the warehouse team when things are quieter.
You'll need
- A current NZ Full Class 5 Driver Licence.
- Minimum 2 years' Truck & Trailer driving experience on NZ roads.
- Minimum 2 years' full-time Road Ranger gearbox experience.
- Confidence driving Class 2 to Class 5 vehicles.
- A strong commitment to safe driving and load restraint.
- Good physical fitness for loading, strapping and securing freight.
- Reliability, punctuality and a genuine team attitude.
- Willingness to help out in the warehouse when required.
- Forklift + F Endorsement, DG Endorsement and warehousing/freight experience are all strong advantages.
The job
You'll be responsible for getting freight where it needs to be, safely, accurately and on time. That includes vehicle checks, looking after your truck, loading and unloading, securing freight, completing logbooks and POD paperwork, and maintaining high safety standards.
And when you're not out making deliveries, you'll be part of the team helping keep our warehouse operation moving.
