Cleaning Supervisor

About the role

Advanced Facility Care is seeking a Working Site Supervisor to join our cleaning services team in Freemans Bay, Auckland. This is a part-time position offering a fantastic opportunity to lead and oversee cleaning operations at one of our key sites. As Site Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and facility management, whilst ensuring all team members deliver exceptional service to our clients. This position is integral to our commitment to providing outstanding facility care and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the cleaning services industry.

Monday to Friday: 4pm to 8.15pm

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations at the designated site, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards

The role involves working, keeping your area clean, and completing regular checks

Some days flexibility requires early start or late finish

Manage and motivate the cleaning team, providing clear direction, training and ongoing support to staff

Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure cleaning standards meet client requirements and company policies

Monitor inventory levels and order cleaning supplies and equipment as needed

Address and resolve any issues or complaints from clients or team members promptly and professionally

Maintain accurate records of work completed, staff attendance and any incidents or maintenance requirements

Communicate effectively with management regarding site performance, staffing needs and any concerns

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times, complete Tool Box with team.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices in facility management

What we're looking for

Proven supervisory or team leadership experience within the cleaning or facility management industry

Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, equipment and health and safety protocols

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism

Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently whilst managing multiple priorities

Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings as required by the site schedule

Current New Zealand driving licence and reliable transport (desirable)

Health and safety qualifications or willingness to obtain relevant certifications (desirable)
