We are looking for a reliable and experienced Bank Clinical Cleaner to support our team in maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection prevention throughout the hospital.

The Role As a Bank Clinical Cleaner, you will play an important role in supporting patient safety by ensuring clinical and non-clinical areas are cleaned and maintained to a consistently high standard.

You will follow established cleaning schedules and infection prevention procedures, helping to create a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and colleagues.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail and understands the importance of clinical cleaning within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities Clean and disinfect clinical areas, treatment rooms, patient areas, offices and communal spaces.

Follow cleaning schedules and hospital procedures to maintain high standards of hygiene.

Apply infection prevention and control procedures to help minimise the risk of cross-infection.

Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly.

Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately.

Handle and dispose of waste in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure supplies are replenished when required.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow health and safety guidance.

Report hazards, spillages, maintenance issues and hygiene concerns promptly.

Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support the smooth running of the hospital.

Essential Requirements Previous clinical cleaning experience within a healthcare environment is essential.

A good understanding of infection prevention and control practices.

Knowledge of safe cleaning methods, disinfectants and cleaning equipment.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

A reliable, conscientious and professional approach to work.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good time management and the ability to follow cleaning schedules and procedures.

A full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport are essential due to the hospital's remote location.

Flexibility to support bank shifts as required.
