The Central Reservations Department is a fast-paced environment with dedicated staff that support Grand Chancellor Hotels in Wellington and Auckland.  The team’s number one goal is to fill the hotels every night at the best rate possible.

We have an opportunity to join our Central Reservations Team in a Full-Time capacity as a Central Reservations Agent. This role provides reservation support for James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland (Wellesley), and The Chancellor on Hobson.

The ideal candidate for this role:

Previous experience in a Hotel Reservations role or similar is an advantage

Experience Managing group bookings would be an advantage

A professional and friendly telephone etiquette

Be highly organised and efficient

The ability to cope under pressure in a busy environment

Display great attention to detail

Ability to solve problems over the telephone

Be customer focused

Have a positive and can-do attitude

Ability to learn and take on new tasks

The position will include, but is not limited to:

Be professional and polite when answering all guest enquiries, including phone calls, emails, and customer service channels for the Central Reservations hub

Ensure all reservations managed by the Central Reservations hub are loaded and updated daily.

Reconfirm daily arrivals to ensure all bookings are ready for guest arrival.

Upsell at all opportunities.

Assist with FIT and Group bookings as assigned by Assistant Central Reservations Manager or Cluster Revenue Manager.

Assist with daily tasks and reports carried out within the Central reservations team and provide assistance with air crew blocks and reservations based on hotel requirements.

Process deposit payments and authorisations in accordance with hotel procedures.

Ensure Guest history information is updated for hotels in the Central Reservations hub on a continual basis.
