CNC / Edgebander Operator

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC / Edgebander Operator to join the team at Prime Kitchens.

You’ll be working alongside a friendly, supportive team that values a positive workplace culture. This role offers variety and autonomy, with a consistent pipeline of work and diverse projects, no two days are the same.

• Key Responsibilities
• Operate CNC machinery and edgebanders efficiently and safely
• Interpret and work from technical drawings
• Manage and complete jobs independently to a high standard
• Ensure all work meets quality and production targets
• Maintain a safe and organised work environment
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and regulations

About You

You are a skilled CNC / Edgebander Operator who takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You’ll also bring:

Strong knowledge of production processes and CNC machining

(Experience with CNC machines and OTT edgebanders is an advantage but not essential)

Ability to accurately interpret drawings and specifications

High attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency

Experience using joinery equipment and a strong safety mindset

Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to excel

High levels of integrity, professionalism, and accountability

Commitment to seeing jobs through to completion

Prime Kitchens has a 24-year history of manufacturing stunning joinery for residential, commercial, and institutional spaces. Our end-to-end service encompasses the design, manufacture and installation of high-quality kitchens, laundries, wardrobes, stairs, shelving, and cabinetry. NZ owned the head office and manufacturing facilities are in Christchurch with four showrooms across the South Island.

Based in Hornby you will work 5 x 8 hour days from Monday to Friday.
