CNC Machinist

We’re looking for experienced CNC Machinists to join established engineering and manufacturing operations in the Tauranga area.

If you’re confident setting, operating and machining components to tight tolerances, we want to hear from you.

THE ROLE

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include

• Setting and operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines
• Machining components from engineering drawings and specifications
• Completing accurate measurements and quality checks
• Working to tight tolerances
• Selecting tooling and adjusting machine parameters
• Completing machine setups and changeovers
• Identifying and correcting machining issues
• CNC programming or editing programs where required
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, safety and housekeeping

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Ideally, you’ll have

• Previous CNC machining experience
• CNC lathe and/or milling experience
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of measuring equipment and tolerances
• Experience setting machines independently
• A mechanical and problem-solving mindset
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable work history and a good attitude
• Experience with Mazak, Mazatrol, Fanuc, Siemens or similar CNC controlswould be highly regarded.
• Programming experience is an advantage, but experienced CNC setters/operators are also encouraged to apply.
