CNC Machinist

We're on the lookout for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a team in Hornby, working for a company that specializes in manufacturing roll forming systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows their way around CNC mills and lathes, can confidently programme machines, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

The work involves low-volume, high-value components with tight tolerances, so attention to detail and a strong understanding of precision machining are key.

What you'll be doing

Programming, setting and operating 3-axis CNC mills and CNC lathes

Working with Doosan DNM 4500 and Leadwell V-50L milling machines, along with a Doosan CNC lathe

Machining high-precision, low-volume components to tight tolerances

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Checking your own work and maintaining high-quality standards

Taking ownership of jobs and ensuring everything is machined accurately

Conducting routine machine maintenance and equipment checks

What we're looking for

Solid experience as a CNC Machinist

Confident programming, setting and operating CNC machines

Experience with both milling and turning

A strong understanding of machining tolerances and precision work

The ability to work independently and problem-solve

Someone who takes pride in their workmanship and doesn't cut corners

Location: Hornby

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm

Pay rate: $40+ per hour
