Job Description
Reviewing tax returns and account information, the full-time Colorado Tax Examiner I will analyze discrepancies, process account adjustments, and provide guidance to taxpayers while primarily working remotely with occasional on-site meetings.
##### Key responsibilities
Review tax returns, payments, and account records to identify errors and discrepancies
Research and resolve account issues by analyzing financial records and documentation
Provide guidance to taxpayers regarding tax laws and filing requirements
##### Required qualifications
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
Two years of experience in a customer service environment
Experience in an occupation related to Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis
