About the role

Beattie Air is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Installer to join our Christchurch-based team. We are looking for someone with practical experience in commercial ductwork installation, sheet metal fabrication and associated HVAC installation work.

Key responsibilities

Installing commercial HVAC ductwork, grilles, diffusers and ventilation systems

Measuring, cutting, fabricating and assembling sheet metal ductwork

Installing duct supports, brackets and fittings

Assisting with copper pipework, refrigerant lines and air conditioning unit installations

Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications

Modifying and fitting ductwork to suit site requirements

Coordinating with other trades and site teams

Following site health and safety requirements

About you

Minimum 5 years proven experience in commercial HVAC ductwork installation

Experience in sheet metal fabrication and duct assembly

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings

Competence using hand and power tools

Knowledge of construction site health and safety

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A reliable attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
