Permanent Part Time and Casual Opportunities Available

Minimum 15 her per week and up to 38 hours per week

Location and working arrangements negotiable for the successful applicant

$30+ per hour + Superannuation + Salary Packaging Benefits

Western District Health Service is seeking caring, reliable and community-minded Community Support Workers to join our growing Community Services team.

This rewarding role supports older people and members of our community to continue living independently in their own homes by providing domestic assistance and practical day-to-day support. Every visit helps create a safer, cleaner and more comfortable home environment while making a positive difference in someone's life.

Working locations are available across Hamilton, Casterton and surrounding communities, with locations negotiated based on service requirements and the successful applicant's circumstances. For casual employees, a 25% casual loading applies in addition to the base hourly rate.

What You'll Be Doing

Domestic Assistance

Provide domestic support services that help participants maintain a safe, clean and comfortable home environment. This includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathroom cleaning, kitchen cleaning and general household upkeep.

Laundry & Household Support

Assist with washing, drying, folding, ironing and other household tasks that support participant wellbeing and independence.

Shopping & Community Support

Undertake shopping and other approved support activities in accordance with participant care plans and service requirements.

Observation & Reporting

Monitor participant wellbeing and identify changes, risks or safety concerns, reporting these promptly to the Community Services team.

Communication & Documentation

Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with participants, families and team members to support safe and effective service delivery.

What You Bring

A caring, positive and respectful approach to supporting others

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

A commitment to providing high-quality customer service

Reliability and a strong work ethic

Ability to follow care plans and organisational procedures

Current Driver's Licence

Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Rights to work in Australia

No formal qualifications are required. Comprehensive training and support will be provided.
