Location: The Hub Cafe, Respond, Waterford

Job Title: Cook

Hourly Rate: €20 p/h

Terms: 1 Year fixed term role

Hours: 30 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

Job Purpose: The preparation and presentation of food in our cafe

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Requisitioning of all foodstuffs and materials for the kitchen.

Preparation, cooking and servicing of both raw and cooked food.

Portioning and packing of both raw and cooked meals.

Scheduling, rotation and allocation of foodstuffs.

Kitchen management including hygiene control and safety procedures, including HACCP.

Reviewing pricing points with People Leader

Management of four team members.

Lodgement of cash to bank on weekly basis

Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Person Specification:

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position.

Experience of menu planning, portion control and food ordering.

Knowledge and experience of hygiene control (HACCP Procedures).

* A focus on minimising waste and delivering value for money.
