Credit Controller
Department: Finance
Location: Wigan, WN3 5BA/Hybrid home working
Hours: 35 hours per week Full-time, Permanent
We have an opportunity for a proactive and organised Credit Controller to join our Finance team.
Your role
Working alongside Lee Catterall, Partner and Financial Controller and his Finance team, you will play a vital role in supporting financial legal services. Ensuring we follow good credit control procedures.
Proactively chase overdue accounts by phone and email, maintaining accurate records
Issue appropriate collection letters
Liaise with solicitors and other colleagues and dealing with problem accounts
Analyse and present monthly reports
Support with audits
About you

Essential
GCSE maths and English at minimum grade C/4 (or equivalent experience)
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferable accounting/finance
Confident and proactive communication skills by phone and email, with experience managing difficult calls.
Strong numerical accuracy
Desirable
Bookkeeping, accounting qualifications or training
Sales ledger and credit control experience
Understanding or law firm accounting and client money
