Location & Flexibility

Ourteam at TELUS Digital. To help retain our deep culture of collaboration, this role will maintain an in-office presence in a hybrid capacity . This role can be located in Noida

The Opportunity

Design and execute migration of Microsoft SQL Server workloads from on-premises to GCP, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.

Responsibilities

Design and implement SQL Server migration strategies (backup/restore, log shipping, replication)

Configure high availability solutions (Always On Availability Groups) on GCE

Deploy and optimize SQL Server on Google Compute Engine

Perform database cutovers and validation during migration waves

Optimize performance, storage, and cost for cloud-based SQL workloads

Collaborate with application and platform teams for integration

Ensure backup, recovery, and DR strategies are implemented

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Bonus Points

Experience with cloud deployments (GCP/AWS/Azure)

Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization

Experience in large-scale database migrations

Familiarity with Windows Server environments
