Malo is a neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Havelock North, known for honest food, seasonal produce, and a welcoming, professional kitchen culture. We’re growing our team and looking for a Demi-Chef or Chef de Partie who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working with good people.

About the role

You’ll be working alongside a tight-knit kitchen team, contributing to a menu that’s produce-driven, thoughtful, and constantly evolving. This is a hands-on role where consistency, teamwork, and attention to detail really matter.

What we’re looking for

Experience as a Chef or Chef de Partie (or ready to step up)

Strong fundamentals and respect for quality ingredients

Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and under pressure

A positive attitude and good communication skills

Reliability and pride in your work
