Director - Enterprise Architect

CGI is seeking a senior Enterprise Architect to join our team and help navigate an evolving and dynamic environment. This is a high-impact role positioned at the intersection of technology strategy, modernization, customer success, and delivery excellence. You will partner directly with C-level stakeholders and delivery leaders to influence and lead IT transformation initiatives, while designing and guiding the implementation of modern infrastructure solutions.

The ideal candidate brings a strong customer-first mindset, strong technical background, exceptional organizational capabilities, and outstanding communication skills. You will lead complex initiatives spanning large-scale technology implementations, modernization efforts, and intricate migration programs, operating within enterprise environments where strategic thinking and execution excellence are equally critical.

**Your future duties and responsibilities**

• Act as a trusted strategic technology advisor to enterprise clients, translating business objectives into actionable IT strategies and measurable outcomes.
• Oversee the design and delivery of enterprise architecture solutions spanning hybrid infrastructure (on-premises and cloud), cybersecurity, and application ecosystems.
• Develop and execute forward-looking roadmaps that drive infrastructure modernization, resilience, and scalable operations.
• Partner with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define transformation strategies, cloud and migration plans, and long-term technology adoption frameworks.
• Promote innovation by advancing cloud-native architectures, automation initiatives, and modern engineering practices.
• Provide architectural governance and technical oversight to ensure solutions meet standards for security, performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Contribute to business development efforts by shaping solution strategies, supporting proposals, and clearly articulating value to prospective clients.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their relevance and potential impact within client environments.
• Coach and mentor delivery teams, architects and build client confidence through thought leadership and executive engagement.
• Represent CGI in executive briefings, strategic workshops, and industry engagements as a senior technology leader.
• Facilitate executive design sessions, architecture reviews, risk assessments, and in-depth technical workshops to guide critical decision-making.

**Required qualifications to be successful in this role**

Essential Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in IT architecture, consulting, or technical leadership, with extensive exposure to enterprise-scale IT environments.
• Ability to influence key technology decisions by providing expert guidance on architecture, platform selection, and solution design, ensuring alignment with both business goals and industry best practices.
• Deep technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure, including data centers, cloud platforms, networking, virtualization, and hybrid IT environments.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (eg., TOGAF) and ServiceNow ITSM platform.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging C-level executives.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance in regulated industries.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical discipline (Computer Science, IT, Engineering) with relevant professional certifications in enterprise architecture, ITIL, ITSM and cloud platforms.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,000–$170,000. This role is an existing vacancy
