We're Hiring
We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Director of Food Sales Service in our Sales Department at our Detroit office
What You'll Do
Partner directly with the SVP, North American Sales & Strategic Growth to design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company's customer base and strengthens market presence.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth, profitability, and long-term partnerships within the Food Service channel.
Lead the forecasting and development of account budgets with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to ensure accuracy, accountability, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Provide monthly business performance reviews and strategic updates to the SVP, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Ensure sales initiatives and decisions deliver both top-line growth and bottom-line profitability.
Lead, mentor, and inspire the Food Service Sales team to achieve and exceed goals while fostering a culture that reflects the integrity, innovation, and values of the Nature Fresh brand.
Establish, communicate, and monitor clear KPIs for Key Account Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals and channel priorities.
Provide continuous coaching, professional development, and succession planning to strengthen individual and team capability.
Oversee recruitment and onboarding of top sales talent, including identifying staffing needs, interviewing, training, and developing new hires.
Promote a collaborative and transparent work environment that emphasizes accountability, respect, and performance excellence.
Consult Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Collaborate closely with the Procurement team to align supply availability with market and customer demand, proactively managing surpluses and shortfalls.
Ensure Key Account Managers are informed of real-time supply positions and equipped to manage inventories effectively to maximize sell-through.
Conduct regular internal account reviews with Key Account Managers to assess performance, strengthen relationships, and identify growth opportunities.
Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment in all business dealings.
Foster cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Procurement, Marketing, and Operations to ensure seamless execution and communication.
Demonstrate strong decision-making and leadership under changing business conditions, maintaining agility and strategic focus.
Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

What You Bring
Proven track record of success as a senior sales leader, consistently achieving and exceeding ambitious revenue and growth targets.
Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a related discipline; advanced education or professional certifications considered an asset.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build credibility at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
Highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and results-driven, demonstrating strong organizational and time management capabilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Power BI) and experience with ERP systems; data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
Demonstrates strong initiative and independent judgment, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution to drive business performance.
Inspirational leader with proven experience mentoring, developing, and managing high-performing teams, while fostering collaboration and accountability across departments.
Strong prioritization and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and competing priorities effectively.
Exercises the highest degree of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of business operations and decision-making.
Sound critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, resolve challenges, and maintain fairness and sound judgment.
Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for regional travel; valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally
What To Expect
Works primarily in an office setting – sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
Works both independently and with a team.
Regular communication by email and phone with clients, other employees, and senior management on a regular basis.
Full time hours with willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
