Location: Uddingston, Glasgow – Bothwell Depot

Contract: Full-time. Permanent.

Shift: Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday

About the Role:

Due to increased growth and exciting expansion plans in our New Bothwell Site, Lynas is seeking a proactive Distribution Supervisor to assist the Distribution Manager with the implementation of distribution plans, allowing the team to meet current/future customer service requirements. The successful candidate will continually improve cost efficiency/quality of service in line with the Distribution Centre goals. They will also assist in maintaining operational standards of Health & Safety and ensure company policies are complied with within the department.

The successful candidate will report directly to our Distribution Manager.

What You’ll be doing:

Managing Processes including site security

Compliance/management of all warehouse and delivery processes across the site

Ensure security procedures are adhered to and managed.

Performance Management

Support management in monitoring driver performance standards and performance improvement

Equipment/Facility Maintenance

Ensure all equipment and MHE are maintained and used correctly

Ensuring facility maintenance and hygiene are maintained to the highest standard

Health & Safety Management

Management of health and safety, incident reporting, and investigation, reporting all incident to line manager

What we’re looking for

Strong logistics and transport supervisory experience. 1-2 years experience in Food Service is desirable.

Strong business acumen with commercial awareness.

Robust analytical and problem-solving capability.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, routing software and Power BI.

Class 1 or Class 2 Licence (or equivalent).

Understanding of transport compliance and legislative requirements.

Experience in resource planning and operational management.

Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) desirable.

Relevant logistics qualification or equivalent experience desirable.

Good geographical knowledge of Scotland & Northern England

You'll work closely with the distribution team and play an important part in supporting Lynas' continued growth and success.
