Driver/Dockhand

Team Global Express is looking for an experienced MR Driver/Dockhand to join our team in Albury, NSW.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 9am - 5:06pm.

In this role, you will be responsible for completing safe and efficient pickup and delivery of freight across the local area. You will also use a forklift to assist with loading and unloading freight as required.

What you’ll do

Complete local pickups and deliveries of freight using an MR vehicle

Assist with general dockhand duties, including sorting, scanning and moving freight around the depot

Load and unload trucks safely using a forklift and other equipment as required

Ensure freight is correctly labelled, handled and secured for transport

Complete daily vehicle checks and report any faults or issues.

Assist with preparing freight for dispatch and organising incoming deliveries

Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.

Provide friendly and professional customer service.

Follow all safety procedures and Chain of Responsibility requirements

Work closely with the depot team to ensure smooth daily operations

What you’ll bring

Current MR Driver’s Licence

Current Forklift (LF) Licence

Previous experience in pickup and delivery or freight transport will be highly regarded

Good knowledge of safe loading, unloading and load restraint

Strong focus on safety

Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic

Good communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable with the physical requirements of the role
