About the role
HV Certified Technician/Engineer (Solar O&M) on a 12-month fixed-term contract to operate and maintain HV substations, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and associated electrical systems.
Key responsibilities
Operate and maintain HV substations, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and associated electrical systems
Perform authorised HV switching, isolation, energisation, and restoration activities in accordance with approved procedures
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and electrical testing to ensure equipment reliability
Implement PTW, LOTO, earthing, and electrical safety procedures during maintenance activities
Coordinate with grid operators and utility personnel for planned outages, fault rectification, and restoration of supply
Monitor electrical faults, analyse equipment failures, and minimise plant downtime
Maintain switching logs, maintenance records, inspection reports, and statutory safety documentation
Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety regulations and site requirements
