Electrician Field Service

Pat O’Donnell & Co, Ireland’s leading supplier of Heavy Construction Equipment and Machinery, representing renowned global brands including VOLVO Construction Equipment, VOLVO PENTA, Sennebogen Material Handlers, and RHELKO Engines.have new role for Field Service Electrician, based out of our Dublin Head Office to carry out electrical work for our various branches and service our line of electric vehicles in Ireland.

The Electrician role will be based our of our Dublin Head Office, Chapelizod, Dublin 20. liaising with all areas of the business.

Title: Electrician Field Service

Department Dublin Workshop (Service Department)

Reports to: Workshop Manager

Job Summary: As Electrician in field service, the role involves diagnosing faults, completing certifications, and ensuring all work meets Irish electrical and safety standards. This role requires a qualified electrician with strong technical skills and a commitment to ongoing training. The Field Service Electrician role will be based out of our Dublin Office, to carry out electrical work in our Cork, Galway, Dublin and Portadown branches and service our line of electric construction plant equipment and machinery.

Main Responsibilities:

• Installation and commissioning

• Maintenance and Servicing

• Fault finding and repairs

• Compliance, testing and certification

• Customer Support and Communication

• Provide support to field-based operations

• Participate in training and development

• Ensuring processes meet ISO requirement and are implemented in a consistent manner

• Decisive - can work on own initiative and take accountability

Required knowledge and experience

• Must have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and be recently fully qualified or qualified with a number of years post qualification experience.

. RECI Certified with be an advantage.

• Must have a sound understanding of electrical standards and requirements relating to circuit design, inspection, testing, and certification.

. Commercial/Industrial Experience would be advantageous.

• An understanding of the electrical principles associated with the commissioning and maintenance of mobile electrical equipment and systems would be advantageous.

• Fault diagnosis and rectification experience in a field service environment would also be advantageous.

It is a condition of the role holder to accept the requirement for medical vaccinations for certain working environments throughout employment with the Company, (the Company will cover the cost of same).
