Engineering Manager

Packaging NZ Central

Levin, Manawatu

OJI Fibre Solutions is one of New Zealand's leading manufacturers and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our customers include blue chip manufacturers and marketers of packaging products to the food, primary produce and industrial sectors. Based at our Corrugated Case business in Levin, we provide innovative and high-quality cardboard packaging to many progressive clients mainly in the dairy, horticulture, meat, industrial and food sectors.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, and a key member of Packaging NZ’s Central Business Unit Leadership Team, you will lead and develop a skilled Engineering team comprising a Electrical and Reliability Engineers, Planner/Stores person and shift-based Mechanical and Electrical Trades staff. Under your leadership relentless improvement in equipment reliability, maintenance excellence and operational performance will be key priorities.

We're looking for

Strong people leadership, communication and influencing skills.
Proven engineering leadership experience.
Strong Health & Safety focus.
Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) experience.
Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
CMMS and maintenance planning experience.
Project and capital improvement experience.
A Mechanical or Electrical trade and/or tertiary qualification.
Experience in manufacturing, packaging, FMCG or similar industries.
