Why you should join our Team

The Procurement and Supply Chain team plays a vital role in supporting patient care across Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust by ensuring that goods and services are purchased efficiently, compliantly, and represent value for money. Our e-Procurement team is a friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive group that works closely with colleagues across the Trust, helping to ensure our electronic purchasing systems operate effectively and meet the needs of both clinical and non-clinical services. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a collaborative and inclusive working environment.

This is a team where your contribution is valued, your development is encouraged, and no two days are quite the same. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with a wide range of staff, develop specialist procurement knowledge, and gain experience within one of the largest NHS organisations in the country. If you are looking for a role where you can make a meaningful difference behind the scenes, work alongside supportive colleagues, and be part of a team committed to continuous improvement, we would be delighted to welcome your application.

What you will bring to the role

We are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic, and keen to provide a high-quality service. The successful candidate will have strong administrative and IT skills, with the confidence to work across electronic procurement systems and support colleagues throughout the Trust. You will bring excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy in a busy environment.

Key attributes we are looking for include

  • Experience of working in an administrative or office-based role.
  • Strong IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications and databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A customer-focused approach and a willingness to support colleagues at all levels.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and service improvement.
  • The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
  • A flexible and professional attitude with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within Procurement and the NHS, making a valuable contribution to services that directly support patient care.
