Equities - Senior Java Developer - Vice President

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control all phases of development process and analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation as well as provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
• Development and Maintenance of Delta One Execution Platform globally.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Work closely with the business analysts to understand the requirements.
• Maintain and enhance existing workflow and strategies for ETF Execution based on business requirement.
• Work closely with other teams that interface with Cross Assets Liquidity system to design and implement appropriate data interfaces and data transfer mechanisms.
• Work collaboratively with the Cross Assets Liquidity development team in an agile mode.
• Write technical design and support documentation for the systems.
• Train first-level support staff in the operation of the systems.
• Communicate progress and risks to management, estimate work schedules, anticipate and avoid problems.
• Stay current with advances in technology in his/her area of expertise and improve knowledge of business lines and market specifics.

Technical Skills

• 8 plus years of relevant experience.
• Strong Java architecture and Java development, object-oriented analysis and design experience.
• Experience in systems analysis and programming software applications.
• Must Have Unix / Linux and sound knowledge of OO Concepts.
• Experience in KDB, and KAFKA will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience, excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of Market Data, Trading Technology and Financial Markets is an advantage.
• Experience with low latency, high frequency trading application development is desirable, FIX protocol a plus.

Functional knowledge (nice to have)

- Asset classes:  ETF – Electronic Traded Funds, Bonds ETF

- ETF trading and delta hedging

- US electronic exchanges

Education

Bachelor Degree or Master’s Degree in Information Technology or other science related areas, or equivalent professional work experience
