Executive Chef

TU Dublin Lowerhouse - Full time

As a Executive Chef you'll:

Lead all culinary operations across the TU Dublin Lowerhouse catering services.

Develop innovative, nutritious and sustainable menus that meet the needs of students, staff and visitors.

Drive exceptional food quality, presentation and customer satisfaction standards.

Manage and develop a team of chefs and kitchen colleagues, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.

Oversee food production, service delivery and kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and consistency.

Manage food costs, labour costs and budgets while maintaining quality standards.

Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, allergen management and health & safety regulations.

Lead menu planning, seasonal promotions and special event catering.

Monitor stock control, purchasing and supplier relationships to maximise value and minimise waste.

Champion sustainability initiatives and support Sodexo's environmental commitments.

Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders to continuously improve the food offer.

Support recruitment, training, succession planning and talent development within the culinary team.

Ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest operational standards.

Drive innovation and implement industry best practices across the operation.

What we're looking for:

Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef or senior culinary leader within a large-scale catering, education, hospitality or contract catering environment.

Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of developing successful teams.

Excellent culinary knowledge and passion for food innovation.

Experience managing budgets, food costs and operational performance.

Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety legislation and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.

Experience delivering high-volume catering services while maintaining quality standards.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple demands.

Relevant culinary qualifications and food safety certifications.
