Blackberry Soul Fine Catering, one of the Bay Area’s premier corporate and event catering companies, is seeking an experienced, creative, and reliable **Chef** to join our culinary team.

We specialize in corporate and community events that celebrate culture, connection, and cuisine, blending Southern roots with California freshness.

**Position Overview**

The **Chef** will oversee event menu execution, manage prep and production, lead kitchen staff during service, and ensure every dish reflects Blackberry Soul’s commitment to soulful, high-quality food made with love and precision.

This is a full time position to assist in scaling**,** perfect for a talented culinary professional who thrives in growing and developing systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Oversee and execute food preparation and presentation along prep staff for catering events
• Manage kitchen staff during prep, service, and breakdown
• Maintain quality, consistency, and timing across all menu items
• Collaborate with event leads to ensure smooth flow and service execution
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Participate in menu planning and creative event development as needed

**Qualifications**

• Minimum **3 years professional cooking or catering experience**
• Proven ability to lead a team under pressure with grace and focus
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Culinary degree preferred but not required
• Must have valid food handler certification
• Reliable transportation to various Bay Area event locations
• Passion for soulful, locally inspired cuisine
