Experienced Bread Baker

Wheatz Bakery Limited operates a central bakery in Penrose and five retail stores across two brands. We are seeking an experienced Bread Baker who can work independently and help our team produce consistent, high-quality bread.

THE ROLE

• One full-time position, at least 40 hours per week.
• Location: Penrose, Auckland.
• Pay: NZD $28–$36 per hour; remuneration negotiable for highly experienced candidates.
• Early shifts required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out the full bread-making process: dough mixing, fermentation, shaping, proofing and baking.
• Establish and maintain bread quality standards.
• Train and guide bread production team members.
• Follow production procedures, hygiene standards and food safety requirements.

ABOUT YOU

• At least three years of experience in a bakery or bakery factory.
• Able to manage the bread-making process independently.
• Available for early shifts.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Day-to-day communication in our production area is mainly in Mandarin.
