About the role

Universal Kitchens Ltd is seeking an experienced Joiner & Kitchen Installer to join our team in East Tāmaki, Auckland. The role involves assembling, fitting and installing kitchens, laundries and custom cabinetry to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

Assemble and install cabinetry according to drawings and specifications.

Read plans, check site measurements and ensure accurate fitting.

Fit and adjust doors, drawers, hinges, runners and other hardware.

Install panels, fillers, kickboards and handle profiles.

Carry out on-site modifications and resolve installation issues.

Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace.

Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

About you

Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in joinery, cabinetmaking and kitchen installation.

Ability to complete installations independently, with excellent attention to detail.

Confidence reading technical drawings and taking accurate measurements.

Proficiency with woodworking machinery, power tools and installation equipment.

Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.

Reliable, punctual and committed to quality workmanship.

Physically capable of handling cabinetry and installation materials.

* Valid driver's licence and the legal right to work in New Zealand.
