Bay Eco Cleaners is a growing professional cleaning company providing residential, commercial, and specialist cleaning services throughout Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty region.

Our services include regular residential cleaning, deep cleaning, end of tenancy and move in cleaning, builders and post construction cleaning, Airbnb and holiday home cleaning, window cleaning, carpet cleaning, glass restoration, and other specialist cleaning services.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking two reliable and motivated cleaners to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the role

This is a practical, hands on cleaning position involving detailed residential cleaning, intensive deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, and post construction cleaning.

The successful candidates will work across a variety of client properties throughout the region. The role requires travel between job locations during the working day and the ability to complete cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining consistent quality and attention to detail.

This position is suited to candidates with relevant cleaning experience who understand the physical demands of professional cleaning and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Working hours: A minimum of 32 hours per week is guaranteed, with work available up to 45 hours per week depending on operational requirements. Work is primarily scheduled during daytime hours, Monday to Saturday

Key responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning duties, including:

• Performing regular and deep cleaning of residential properties, including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other designated spaces.
• Completing end of tenancy, move in, and move out cleaning to the required standard.
• Undertaking builders and post construction cleaning, including the removal of dust and construction residue using appropriate methods.
• Deep cleaning ovens, stovetops, kitchen surfaces, bathrooms, showers, and other fixtures.
• Cleaning shower glass and undertaking glass restoration tasks where trained and required.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, and sanitising designated areas.
• Carrying out interior and exterior window cleaning where required.
• Performing carpet cleaning and other specialist cleaning tasks where trained and required.
• Cleaning skirting boards, doors, fixtures, fittings, and other detailed areas.
• Selecting and using professional cleaning equipment and products safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Travelling between client properties and transporting or handling cleaning equipment and supplies as required.
• Following site specific instructions, health and safety procedures, and company cleaning checklists.
• Maintaining professional conduct, protecting client property, and ensuring work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Communicating professionally with supervisors and clients regarding access arrangements, job progress, and cleaning requirements.
• Skills, experience and personal attributes

To be considered for these positions, applicants must demonstrate the following:

At least one year of recent cleaning experience in a similar role, preferably involving residential cleaning, deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, or builders and post construction cleaning.

Practical experience completing detailed cleaning tasks and handling larger cleaning jobs.

The physical fitness and stamina required to undertake approximately 6–8 hours of active cleaning during a working day, depending on the roster and assigned duties.

The ability to perform repetitive tasks, bend, scrub, stand for extended periods, and safely handle cleaning equipment and supplies.

The ability to organise tasks, follow cleaning procedures, and maintain consistent quality and productivity.

The ability to work independently and cooperate effectively with other team members.

Good communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions.

A full and valid driver's licence suitable for the work-related driving required for the position.

A reliable, punctual, honest, and professional approach to work.

A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to maintaining high service standards.

Additional skills and career development

Bay Eco Cleaners welcomes applicants who can contribute additional skills beyond their core cleaning responsibilities.

Experience in customer service, client communication, sales, team leadership, staff training, quality inspections, or identifying business opportunities would be an advantage, although these additional skills are not essential to the core cleaning role.
