About the role
We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader to join us for the summer season and help lead our Bistro team through one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year. This is a role for someone who knows hospitality, knows how to lead people and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
This is about people as much as it is about service. You'll be expected to lead the operation, be visible on the floor and jump in when things get busy.
Your biggest impact will be developing our people.
Key responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day hospitality operation through the busy summer season
Be highly visible on the floor and lead by example
Coach, mentor and develop the existing team
Lift service standards, consistency and guest experience
Work closely with the kitchen and FOH teams to create seamless service
Support the team through busy summer trading and seasonal peaks
Provide real-time coaching, feedback and training
Manage rosters, service flow, reservations and day-to-day operational requirements
Monitor sales, labour and operating costs
Deal confidently with guest issues and operational challenges
About you
5+ years' experience in a senior hospitality management role, preferably within a quality bistro or restaurant,
Genuine hands-on hospitality experience
Knows how to run a great service
Confident leading an established team
Gets real satisfaction from developing people
Can coach without micromanaging
Calm, organised and decisive under pressure
High standards but brings people with them
Commercially aware and understands labour and cost control
Comfortable with POS, reservations and hospitality systems
