Future planning opportunities may include

• Processing and assessing resource consent applications.
• Providing planning advice to applicants, staff, elected members, and the wider community.
• Supporting the development and implementation of the District Plan and other planning policies.
• Monitoring compliance with resource consents and undertaking enforcement activities where required.
• Participating in hearings, mediation, and regulatory processes.
• Contributing to strategic projects that help shape the future of the district.
• Who Are You? | Ko Wai Koe?We welcome expressions of interest from people with a range of skills and experience, including those who:
• Hold a tertiary qualification in Planning or a related discipline or are currently working towards one.
• Have knowledge of, or an interest in, resource management and local government planning.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
• Take a collaborative and customer-focused approach to their work.
• Experience working within planning, resource management, local government, or a related field.
• NZPI membership or eligibility for membership.
