Coastal Services Limited is seeking experienced Fabricators & Fitter Weldersto join our team on a full‑time basis. Job Summary:

We are looking for skilled Fabricators & Fitter Welders with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication and welding of steel components, including pipes, beams, frames, platforms, supports, and associated assemblies, working from engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities:

•   Fabricate and weld steel components to engineering drawings and specifications

•   Read and interpret 2D fabrication drawings, pipe isometric drawings, shop details, and general arrangement drawings

•   Site repairs & maintenance on steel equipment

•   Cut, prepare, fit, and weld steel pipe, sections, plates, and assemblies

•   Carry out GTAW, MIG, FCAW and MMAW welding to required standards

•   Experience with Stainless steel and other exotic materials.

•   Assemble and fit structural steel components prior to welding.

•   Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality and dimensional accuracy.

•   Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety, and housekeeping

•   Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines

You will need:

•  5+ years experience as a Fabricator (or similar industrial fabrication role)

•   Trade qualification

•   Strong ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings

•   Previously held ASME IX welding qualification (Fitter / Welder)

•   Good understanding of welding procedures and quality requirements

•   Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

•   Commitment to health & safety, quality, and productivity

•   Ability to work in a workshop and on site as required

•   A full NZ Driver’s License
