Overview

As a Farm Worker, Vegetable, you’ll support the day-to-day growing and care of vegetable crops, from field preparation through packing. This hands-on role combines horticulture, irrigation, equipment use, and routine maintenance in an active farm environment.

Responsibilities

Apply the technique of hoeing between the row

Clean the crops

Cut agricultural crops

Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots

Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.

Greenhouse cleaning

Hand harvesting vegetables

Harvest seedlings

Mixing fertilizer

Pack fruits and vegetables

Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops

Sort fruits and vegetables

Weeding

Clean work area

Fertilize and spray crops

Harvest crops

Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment

Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market

Cut horticultural crops

Requirements

Required: Practical ability to perform hands-on farm tasks, handle heavy lifting, use hand and power tools, and apply basic math to measurements and counts. Mechanical knowledge and attention to safe equipment use support daily duties.
