Job Description

At The Instillery, we deliver multi-disciplined professional and managed services across infrastructure, applications, cloud, security, and modern work. Our Field Engineers are at the heart of this, working directly with customers and making a tangible difference to how they operate every day.

This is a hands-on, onsite role where you’ll gain real purpose and fulfilment by supporting our customers face-to-face. You’ll be trusted to provide the right technical support at the right time, delivered with care, efficiency, and a great customer experience.

A day in the life of a Field Engineer typically looks like:

Representing The Instillery onsite with one of our key customers, providing Level 2/3 infrastructure support

Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, enabling customers to work effectively day-to-day

Managing and prioritising a support ticket queue within agreed timeframes, both onsite and remotely

Collaborating closely with our Field Services and Customer Operations teams to deliver seamless support

What’s in it for you

  • Competitive salary
  • Your birthday off plus an additional wellbeing day
  • Marram health insurance
  • A supportive, high-performing team that genuinely celebrates wins
  • A strong sense of purpose and clear line of sight into how your work contributes to the wider business

What will help you stand out

  • 1–3 years’ experience in IT support, Service Desk, or a Field Engineer role
  • A true “jack-of-all-trades” mindset, with a proven track record of owning and resolving IT issues
  • Exposure to a broad technology stack, ideally including the Microsoft stack, VMware, Hyper-V, networking, Citrix, Wintel, Exchange, SQL, SAN, and Terminal Services
  • MacOS and iOS experience is an advantage
  • Strong reliability and an excellent, customer-first approach
  • Current eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • If this sounds like you and you’re ready to take ownership, build strong customer relationships, and grow your career with The Instillery - we’d love to hear from you.
  • Please note: recruitment agencies and previous applicants do not need to reapply; we already have your details should we need.
