Finance Analyst - Capital, Band 4

• Compile schedule of asset data for input into the fixed asset register on a quarterly basis.
• Correctly record the procurement of assets on the ledger, in the balance sheet and in the asset register.
• Account for the disposal of assets correctly, ensuring they are removed from the asset register.
• Run reports from the fixed asset register to provide information as required.
• Prepare budget, expenditure and forecast journals to input financial information into the ledger to agreed timetables.
• Assist with the annual asset verification exercise.
• Provide timely support and advice to financial and non-financial staff on capital assets and capital project accounting as required.
• Assist in responding to internal and external audit requirements and ensuring they are responded to in a timely manner
• The role requires the post holder to plan, organise and manage their time effectively, establishing own priorities on a day-to-day basis to meet deadlines with management supervision.
• Effectively monitor progress on their own tasks and raise an alert if there are any issues.
